As a practice circuit that's also useful for Halloween, here is the schematic for a simple LED flasher circuit that I tweaked to work well as the replacement for a candle in a Jack'O'Lantern. The R1 and R2 resistors can be replaced to mess with the timing, or you can change the size of either capacitor.
