3D Scanner Test (Updated)

More of me doing weird things:

Since I've become interested in 3D printing, it's only natural that I'm curious about 3D scanning as well. I am shunning the traditional structured light approach to 3D scanning, in favor of a less precise but more easily implementable solution of scanning silhouettes. The idea is to scan a silhouette of an object from every direction, draw all points along the silhouette back to the laser's origin, and then intersect all the resulting 3D objects. Whether this will work or not, I'm not sure, but I'm finding out the only way I can!
